GroundControls Professional Services department has a fantasticopportunity for a selfmotivated and commercially mindedSenior orPrincipal Ecologist for ourinhouse Ecology Consultancy.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • ProjectManagement of UK Habitat Classification Surveys (licenced)protected species surveys;
  • Building tenders andcreating complex fee quotations atspeed;
  • Producing complex technical reports (PEAreports BNG reports protected species reports Habitat ManagementPlans BREEAM reports HRAs and EcIAs);
  • Managingmedium to large sized projects with ability to track financialprogress;
  • Line management of juniorecologists
  • Logistical and legislative problemsolving

Fully flexibleworking

This role is a fully remoteposition working from home and in the field in your local area. Youhave the flexibility of managing your own time without having tovisit a office location.

Are YouRight For This Role

We welcomeapplications from Senior Ecologists or existing Principals who arelooking for a change. You must have full membership the CharteredInstitute of Ecology & Environmental Management MCIEEM arelevant bachelors degree (or higher) and at least one protectedspecies licence. A Personal Track Safety accreditation would be abonus.

In addition all of the points below willbe a massive bonus

  • Have a desire forline management
  • Prioritise workloads andcomplete tasks in a timely manner;
  • Have highattention to detail especially in technicalreporting;
  • A strength UK wildlife legislationand understand how to apply it correctly;
  • Haveclear and consistent communication skills;
  • Bepersonable and a team player even on tough days;and
  • Hold a full UK drivinglicense
