About the role:
Lead on a rolling cycle of recruitment of volunteer counsellors and counselling student and training across the year to ensure that volunteering is sustained in the service Ensure that all counselling students and volunteer counsellors are provided with a high-quality package of induction, training, clinical supervision, and appraisal to enable them to carry out their role effectively within the service Work with line managers to support and develop the Counselling Service Recruit and select suitable student volunteer counsellors and maintain good links with Universities and Colleges and other learning centres Carry out inductions, provide training and ongoing support for volunteer counsellors Provide counselling interventions for clients with complex or specialist needs as appropriate Part of your role will be to evaluate and monitor the counselling service to ensure outcomes are metAbout you:
Professional Level 4 (minimum) Counselling Qualification and working towards BACP accreditation Working towards a diploma in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision or equivalent that adheres to BACP ethical principles An understanding of the issues facing individuals affected by substance misuse, including carers and family members Maintain professional boundaries with professionals, colleagues and service users at all times Ability to train counselling students and volunteers to support service users utilising a variety of interventions Make good use of clinical supervision Experience of recruiting, supervising and developing volunteers (desirable but not essential)What we will give to you:
