You will be joining the talented Rebellion North studio based in our Wakefield Location. Rebellion North are a dynamic and growing team who relish challenges and punching above their weight. The Opportunity

Your role is to deliver real-time particle effects for the project and ensure that the integration of the work is in line with the project’s technical constraints and artistic direction. Your focus is on the execution of your work and how this will influence and improve the project.

Responsibilities:

With direction from project lead, create consistent high-quality VFX, while proactively collaborating across all disciplines. Maintain and improve best practices for production pipeline and projects. Track and update the progress of day-to-day tasks using the designated tracking tools. Challenge, identify and help re-define technical and artistic process such as new project tools and functions. Proactively drive optimisation and debugging. Fully realise a space with the assets available to tell an interesting and varied story. Reference game design documents to maintain consistency and high quality of the environments, objectives, atmospheres, story, and style of the project.

Requirements

Advanced knowledge of a game engine particle system editor. Excellent knowledge of Houdini’s Particle Simulation or EmberGen. An advanced understanding of 2D particle texture creation. Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Substance Designer or other 2D packages. Knowledge of Perforce. Able to produce high quality art assets. Ability to translate concept and reference artwork into real-time particle effects. Knowledge of 3d software such as 3D Studio Max, Maya, and Blender. Knowledgeable of lighting and HDR.
