WHAT TO EXPECT

Join our team as a CO2 Aftermarket Specialist 


In this position, you can expect to play a key role in developing and standardising CO2e measurement across JLR’s supply base. You will work closely with key strategic suppliers to understand their decarbonisation roadmaps, share best practise and influence their sustainability policy to deliver meaningful change at scale. You will develop and provide key supply base insights, considering both existing and innovative new players, and empowering buyers.


From the outset, you will have a unique opportunity to transform and shape JLR’s sustainability strategy by developing a data-led approach to supplier carbon management.

Key accountabilities & responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading transformative change, and driving continuous improvement of supply base CO2e measurement, using a Product Carbon Footprinting Approach, in collaboration with JLR’s sustainability community. The team aims to deliver a competitive advantage to JLR by collaborating across the business and with our supply chain partners to devise and deliver strategies that recognise our ambitious environmental sustainability goals.

Further duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Calculate category CO2e sourcing targets.

• Complete supplier CO2e comparison reports for new sourcing

• Advise buyers on delivery of sourcing CO2e targets.

• Support buyers with supplier sustainability reviews.

• Market scanning on commodity decarbonisation best practice & suppliers and emerging innovation


WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Essential:
• Experience in CO2e measurement. Preferably Scope – Purchased Goods and Services
• Strong knowledge of levers available to drive carbon reduction within the supply chain ( manufacturing operations, raw material sourcing, energy strategies).
• A strong communicator with the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders to influence cross-functional alignment. 
• Data-literate individual – comfortable working with complex & incomplete data sets to produce meaningful insights.
