About The Role

As a Sourcing Specialist at Wren Kitchens, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and ethical standards of our supply chain. You will be responsible for sourcing new products and suppliers, auditing and onboarding new suppliers to ensure compliance with the Wren Supplier Code of Conduct, and mitigating risks related to modern slavery, fraud, human trafficking, bribery, and corruption. This role requires a keen understanding of ethical sourcing practices, strong analytical skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.

Responsibilities:

Conduct market research to identify new product opportunities and potential suppliers. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure commercial and ethical standards are met. Understand current global markets and explore new opportunities ensuring sustainability is at the heart of all processes.  Develop and implement auditing processes to assess supplier compliance with the Wren Supplier Code of Conduct. Conduct on-site visits and inspections to verify supplier practices. Collaborate with internal teams to address any compliance issues and develop improvement plans. Educate suppliers on Wren's ethical sourcing requirements. Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure ongoing compliance. Investigate and address any reports of unethical behaviour or non-compliance. Identify potential risks related to bribery, corruption, or other unethical practices within the supply chain. Develop strategies to mitigate these risks and implement controls to prevent unethical behaviour. Stay informed about industry trends and regulations related to ethical sourcing and compliance. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers based on trust, transparency, and mutual respect. Collaborate with suppliers to implement improvements in ethical sourcing practices. Collect and analyse data related to supplier performance, compliance, and ethical sourcing metrics. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders. Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

Preferred qualifications & experience:

Proven experience in sourcing, supplier auditing, or compliance management. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to ethical sourcing and supply chain management. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders. Experience working with suppliers in diverse geographic regions and cultural backgrounds.
