About the role

We’ve an amazing opportunity to become our National Infrastructure Delivery Manager, reporting into the Head of Integrated Delivery Services within our Assets Directorate. The role is a senior leadership role which is accountable for delivering a high-performance team’s culture that drives continuous improvement and service excellence.

We’re looking for you to lead field-based professionals and framework partners to achieve best-in-class performance against regulatory SLAs, whilst also delivering the within approved budgets and schedules. You’ll also produce regulatory information for the company Annual Performance Reports for activities conducted within the team. All activities will be delivered in line with the functional safety plan with a clear aim of embedding and enhancing a safety focussed culture.

In this role you’ll ensure functional, or partner’s activities align to attained company quality standards and satisfy all relevant legislative, regulatory and legal requirements to drive everyone home safe every day. You will be responsible for making sure the team are sufficiently resourced, competent and trained for the safe and effective delivery of their activities.

You will provide an outstanding customer experience during the delivery of functional activities, building strong relationships with both internal and external customers. You will also be responsible for the annual setting and monthly management of multiple significant financial operating budgets ensuring all capital expenditure is captured and re-allocated appropriately.

About you

We’re looking for you to have previous experience of managing large delivery teams spanning a large geographical area. You will be a SHE leader with experience leading construction teams, ideally delivering water network activities and will be able to demonstrate a record of driving improvement.

You will have proven leadership, and engineering experience coupled with proven ability to influence stakeholders and colleagues, building engagement at varying levels.

We are expecting you to have a detailed understanding of current CDM Regulations and NEC contract framework, a practical and detailed understanding of NRASWA, SROH and NJUG, with proven experience of delivery in a highly a regulatory environment.

You’ll have some great skills too, including an in depth understanding of the construction process and appreciation of the technical disciplines applied in the creation, operation, and maintenance of network assets. A keen problem solver, you will naturally develop solutions for complex delivery challenges, communicating well with external and internal stakeholders including delivery teams and external bodies.

You will have a thorough understanding of all regulatory and legislative requirements to deliver Developer Services activities. You will have a sound understanding of a variety of framework and contract models and delivery approaches that could be employed in the delivery of infrastructure activities and a good understanding of the concepts and principles within the area of contracts management.
