Step Teachers are seeking an enthusiastic Art Teacher to join a reputable secondary school in Great Yarmouth on a long-term supply basis starting January 2025. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality art lessons, planning engaging curriculum content, and marking student work to ensure continuous progress. Art Teacher – Role:
- Plan and deliver creative and inspiring art lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and national standards.
- Mark and assess students' work, providing constructive feedback to support their artistic growth.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
Art Teacher – Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience as an Art Teacher in a UK-based school.
- As an Art Teacher you should have strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Art on a KS3 and KS4 level.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
