We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent, part-time Catering Assistant position to join our team based at Melton Mowbray Main Hospital.

  • Hours of Work 25.08 per week
  • £12.18 per hour
  • Working hours - part-time working on a 8 week rota shifts between 7am-12:30pm, 9:30am-1:30pm and 1pm-5pm
  • Training will be provided

About the role:


  • The Catering Assistant is responsible for the provision of a food and beverage service in accordance with health and safety requirements, Patient Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE) and NHS Property Services policies and procedures.
  • Duties include, but are not limited to, food preparation, cooking, serving and presentation, cleaning of crockery, cutlery and equipment, rotation of stock, maintenance of food hygiene regulations and cash handling.
  • No formal qualification is required as full training will be given.
