WHAT TO EXPECT

We are looking for a Mobile Metrology Technician to be part of our exceptional team. If you are an individual with drive, keenness to learn, who enjoys working in a team to solve problems, whilst operating in a highly demanding environment, then this may be the role for you. The role will require you to have a Level 3 NVQ/BTEC/City & Guilds in an Engineering or relevant field and you will ideally have experience in Articulated arms and Laser Trackers and come from a Metrology background.

You will have the chance to work on brand new programmes, working with JLR’s new vehicles and the role will offer plenty of scope for progression as this is an ever growing part of the business. You will be required to travel around different sites in the West Midlands so a Driving License is a must to be considered for this role.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Assist in machine verification and preventative maintenance.

Following measurement instructions to ensure requests are completed in a timely manner to the expected high standards.

Operating departmental metrology software.

Create and run detailed measurement programs

Safe operating of departmental metrology hardware.

 WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Ability to develop new and existing processes to improve departmental performance.

Willingness/ability to work/travel across a wide range of JLR sites/locations as required is essential.

Thorough knowledge of GOM & Polyworks Software or similar.

Competent operators in the use of GOM, Articulated arms, Laser Trackers and Creaform system or similar.
