Job Function:

To ensure the yard is kept organised and safe for employees and customers, as well as helping with loading and unloading deliveries and machinery as necessary.


Essential Duties:

  • Operate and move machinery in a safe and efficient manner
  • Display and store equipment and machinery in an organized and logical way.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and tidy environment including organising, general maintenance, upkeep and waste organisation.
  • Help to load and unload deliveries and machinery
  • Take pride in the site and work as part of the Ardleigh team to promote an efficient, safe and well-run depot
  • Work within the required H&S legislation

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Full and valid driving license – this is essential
  • Knowledge and experience of driving a range of vehicles
  • Display a calm, efficient and flexible approach
  • Self-motivated and able to organise workload and remain focused on the job at hand
  • Energetic and proactive approach to work
  • Excellent customer service
  • Able to assist with loading vehicles and securing loads as required
  • This vacancy would suit an active person as it includes climbing in and out of machinery and lifting loads.
  • Forklift license an advantage but training could be given
