TheOpportunity:

As the SeniorGeophysicist you will predominately be involved and responsible forthe quality control interpretation and analysis of marinegeophysical data geohazard assessment and the integration ofgeophysical environmental and geotechnicaldata.

With a focus on the generation of clientdeliverables you will work as part of the onshore processing teamtaking the lead on certain aspects of projects supervisinglessexperienced geophysicists and reporting to the LeadGeophysicist. You will also be expected to communicate withexternal clients on projectrelated matters.

Aspart of the role there will also be occasional opportunities towork offshore on our dedicated surveyvessels.

MainResponsibilities

• Qualitycontrol of geophysical survey data.
• Processingand interpretation of geophysical survey data including side scansonar magnetometer subbottom profiler and 2D UHRseismic.
• Maintain accurate QC andinterpretation logs and take responsibility for the organisationand management of large datasets.
• Produce datadeliverables to client specifications.
• Writegeophysical results reports and finalise field and operationsreports.
• Manage time and resources required tomeet interpretation and reporting deadlines for eachproject.
• Maintain good communications with thewider project team and clients regarding interpretation schedulesand preliminary findings in order to aid projectplanning.
• Help to produce department proceduresand documentation.
• Provide technical input intothe development of machine learning tools for data processing andinterpretations.
• Assist tendering team withtechnical submissions for geophysicalsurveys.
• Fill in as QC geophysicist offshore orremote USV geophysicist on occasion asrequired

Youshould apply if youhave:

Essential:

• Survey/ Hydrographic / Ocean Science / Data relateddegree
  Extensive experience in a similar or equivalentrole
