Role Description

Gardener Volunteers

Location: Seaford

Time commitment: 1-2 hours weekly/biweekly

Our Gardener Volunteers support our homes by helping to maintain their outdoor spaces through weeding, pruning and planting, so that the people we support can enjoy spending time in a beautiful environment. 

We are currently looking for volunteer gardeners for one of our services in Seaford (Barclay House), who can support with the following tasks:

Create planters Provide general maintenance of our gardens Watering, planting, weeding and pruning Maintaining flower beds Creating/improving/maintaining our sensory garden spaces Skills required  In order to become one of our gardener volunteers you will be: Knowledgeable about plants Confident using gardening equipment Punctual and reliable Friendly and approachable Please note that you will need to be  over the age of 18  in order to apply for this role. Upon receipt of your application, a member of our friendly Volunteering Team will contact you for an informal chat and to explain about the next steps. To ensure the safety of the people we support, we require a DBS check and two satisfactory references before a volunteer role is confirmed. As you will be volunteering directly with vulnerable individuals, you will also be required to undertake safeguarding training, as well as any training which is specific to the role.
