A new opportunity for a HR Assistant to join our HR Business Partnering (HRBP) Team to support several exciting projects and provide a front line service to employees and managers has arisen.

This is a 2 year fixed term role and would offer an opportunity for someone that is keen to pursue a career in HR for the first time, or has some previous experience but is looking to broaden their exposure in a busy HR environment.

About the Role:

You will provide a front-line HR service to employees and managers answering straight-forward queries regarding HR policies and processes, escalating complex issues where appropriate.

Provide support to the HRBP team in terms of ER paperwork, data collation, generation of letters and note-taking.

Work with the HR Managers, Lead HR Partners and HR Advisor to provide accurate information, proactively keep documentation in an organised and easily accessible way.

Support the HRBP team with project work, acting as a coordinator for information and communication.


About You:

  • You will have the ability to balance and prioritise numerous operational queries and project work.

  • Be a supportive listener in sensitive or contentious situations.

  • Recognise more complex or high-risk ER matters and when to escalate them as appropriate.


Essential Skills:

  • Administration experience, within a busy, customer-focused environment (Ideally within a HR environment but not essential)

  • Excellent communication skills and proven professional customer-focused approach

  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency around letter-writing and note-taking

  • Demonstrable excellent customer service skills and a flexible pragmatic approach

  • Team working skills, and an ability to deliver project outcomes

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities and maintain calm and organised in approach

  • Appreciation of the importance of confidentiality and sensitivity when discussing personal and contentious matters

  • Well-developed IT skills and experience of interpreting reports/data

  • Demonstrable ability to use a flexible and pragmatic approach to problem-solving

Our HR Business Partnering Team provide proactive support and practical guidance to our Leaders and Managers when employee relations issues arise; supporting formal processes, informal procedures and conflict resolution. They also work collaboratively with colleagues in the wider HR team to ensure a joined-up and pragmatic approach, as well as other operational teams to give our stakeholders cohesive and solutions-focused support.
