We are recruiting a Clinical Service Manager to lead and manage the nursing resource and work streams delivered as part of the ‘Protect’ pillar within the Health Protection Service.

The Health Protection Service reduces pressure in the wider Health Protection System by providing essential support, capacity and resilience through various activities. The Clinical Service Manager acts as the professional nurse lead providing clinical advice, leadership development, monitoring and management of all nursing resources across the three pillars of the Health Protection Service.

Main duties of the job

·The post holder will be responsible for the leadership and development of the nursing team and monitoring and improving quality standards and patient experience, ensuring professional challenge as necessary

·The post holder is required to work in partnership with key external agencies including charitable and independent sectors, local authorities, Public Health Wales, across a variety of settings acute hospitals, primary care, community settings, education and care homes

·The post holder is required to be a clinical leader with expertise in health protection, providing both expert clinical support and intervention in a variety of settings; and supervision, guidance and support for the nursing teams and the wider multidisciplinary teams working within the Health Protection Service

·The post holder will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that the service meets local, regional and national quality standards.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply
