Job Advert Role Description

Mill Garth Hospital  is a 21-bed high dependency recovery and rehabilitation hospital, located in Meanwood, Leeds. We provide active and positive engagement for males aged 18 years and over, who experience a range of mental health disorders.

We are looking for a Catering Assistant  to join our team. 

Responsibilities:

Support the provision of the catering operation by assisting with basic food preparation and hygiene. Collaborate with catering staff in both meal preparation and cooking, following the company’s Assured Safe Catering policies and procedures. Take responsibility for specific aspects of the catering operation under direction.

Hygiene Standards:

Ensure that the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards, adhering to the company’s Assured Safe Catering policies and procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:

Basic numeracy and literacy skills. Appreciation of basic food hygiene. Experience in a catering environment is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Working Environment:

The role involves routine tasks within a busy kitchen environment, using various equipment. Sustained physical effort and concentration are required.

Training:

The role holder will be expected to participate in Priory’s mandatory training.
