As part of the continued growth of the GroupOCU Hornbill now has a new opportunity to join the business basedout of Neath South Wales. The purpose of the role is to manageallaspects of the contractual and financial side of constructionprojects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in costcontrol procurement contract management and project financialreporting. You will work closely with project managers contractorsand other key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on timeand within budget.
Duties andResponsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills ofquantities.
- Manage and control project budgetstrack variations and forecast costs.
- Evaluateand select subcontractors ensuring value for money.
- Negotiate contracts subcontracts and material supplyagreements.
- Monitor progress measure projectperformance and prepare financial reports.
- Prepare interim valuations final accounts and providecost advice to clients.
- Conduct risk valuemanagement and cost control exercises throughout projectlifecycles.
- Provide contractual and financialsupport to project teams during tender and constructionphases.
Skills andExperience
- Bachelorsdegree in quantity surveying Construction Management or a relatedfield.
- Previous experience as a QuantitySurveyor within the Construction/Engineering industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts procurementprocesses and cost management.
- Excellentnegotiation communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure meet deadlines and managemultiple projects.
- Familiarity with currentconstruction regulations andstandards.
