Title: Kitchen Porter / Pot Wash

Reports to: Chef and Chef Assistant

Responsible to: Chef

Summary of Job Purpose:

To ensure that all areas of the Kitchen are clean and tidy. Meeting EHO and company standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure the Kitchen is tidy at all times
Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and wear uniform as per company policy
Assist in preparation of food as required by the Chef
Undertake the cleaning schedule as per Food Safety Manual
Undertake pot wash duties and clean area daily
Ensure restaurants on all units are cleaned of all used crockery and cutlery after meals and returned to the Kitchen for washing
Check Garden Rooms twice daily and remove any used crockery and cutlery to the Kitchen for washing
Check sub-kitchens daily and replenish supplies as required
At the end of each shift ensure cleaning schedules have been undertaken and cleaning forms signed
Ensure the Kitchen is left clean and tidy. All bins to be emptied at the end of each shift
Undertake statutory training as directed by the ChefGeneric Core Duties

Positively promote the Home through personal conduct both within and outside working hours
Ensure that you have read and understood all relevant company policies and procedures and that you comply with these at all times
Attend and participate in all training sessions and staff meetings as required
Maintain good working relationships with all colleagues at all times
Any other reasonable instruction from the Chef or Home Manager, which is within your area of competence.Job Types: Full-time, Contract MON - FRI

Salary: £8.72 per hour
