Attention to detail and the ability to manage your time to meet deadlines is essential.


Your responsibilities will be:


  • Undertake bookkeeping for clients as required and compilation of management accounts as a result of the bookkeeping if requested.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients to prepare sets of accounts for sole traders, private Ltd companies and partnerships.
  • Compile VAT and CIS returns.
  • Assisting clients with general ad hoc queries.
  • Prepare for client meetings where appropriate and provide relevant documentation.
  • Attend client meetings where appropriate.
  • Assisting with the training and development of junior staff.
  • Assist the finance directors with assignments where necessary.
  • Follow all business policies and procedures.


About you


  • Accountancy practice background.
  • Accomplished relevant experience with Sage, Xero and Quickbooks.
  • Experience within a similar role delivering accounting and tax compliance services to a range of sole trader and limited company clients.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to work independently.
  • Qualifications –ACCA / ACA / AAT (Qualified or Part-Qualified) or QBE (ideal but not essential).
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
