Summary


As an SQL Developer at Agile Solutions, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. You will work closely with various teams to support data integration, data warehousing, and analytical needs. Your expertise will contribute to the overall success of our data-driven initiatives. This position will be subject to additional screening requirements. This position is to work with one of our clients that require you to have security clearance or able to obtain this with no prior convictions and permanent and unrestricted right to live and work in the UK.


Responsibilities


  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support application development and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and optimise complex SQL queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
  • Design and implement data warehousing solutions, including ETL processes, to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
  • Develop and maintain data models, including dimensional models, to support analytical reporting and data visualisation.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing robust data validation and cleansing procedures.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Participate in database performance tuning and optimisation efforts to ensure high performance and scalability.
  • Provide support for database-related issues, including troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving data discrepancies.
  • Create and maintain documentation for database designs, processes, and procedures.


Essential Skills


  • Proficiency in SQL development, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of dimensional modelling and its application in data warehousing.


Desired Skills


  • Experience with Data Vault methodology.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL processes.
