Schindlers is an international professional services group, offering clients a range of services including fiduciary, trust and company management, legal, accounting and banking services. An opportunity has arisen for a qualified solicitor/lawyer to enter our growing private client practice in London. The practice is going through an exciting period of growth and transformation.

You should have at least one year post qualification experience from an established law firm or similar institution and skills dealing with high net-worth individuals, trustees/beneficiaries on tax, trusts, estates, succession planning, corporate and contract law. You will be available with up to one months’ notice and hold the relevant right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).

Reporting into the London based Legal Counsel and working closely with the wider Private Client team, you will be undertaking various matters for a range of private clients.

A high standard of interpersonal and communication skills are vital, especially in the context of client care and we are looking for someone who has a positive and friendly manner in dealing with clients, intermediaries and colleagues.

Your key duties will be:

  • Provision of a quality service to clients in dealing with the preparation/drafting of contracts, indemnities, deeds, powers of attorney, administration of trusts, foundations and companies, including relevant corporate housekeeping;
  • Ensure all necessary communication and actions are taken with third parties and relevant organisations to conclude the matter correctly;
  • Generate satisfactory level of fee income in accordance with set fee income targets, record all time and bill promptly during and/or on completion of transactions;
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory and legislative changes and ensuring ongoing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • A high degree of initiative and the ability to cope in a demanding environment;
  • Clear verbal and written communication style;
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills;
  • High awareness of compliance with regulatory obligations;
  • The ability to work in a small busy team with global reach;
  • Willingness to work 4-5 days on-site.
