Pizza is Lovely is looking for a passionate and experienced Head chef to run our popular pizzeria at the Left handed giant Brewpub in the centre of Bristol.

The pizzeria is focused on using a wood fired oven specialising in Neapolitan Pizza.

Head Chef:

As the Head Chef of this venue, you will be working with the Executive Chef, to put in place the necessary policies, procedures and structure to ensure the success of the business. Working with the Executive Chef, you will be comfortable hiring and training a team, building and maintaining a great working atmosphere and ensuring proper practice is enacted and followed, while working to budgets and targets. You will always work to ensure that our customers experience the best service possible, and that the team is working together to maintain high standards of service.

You will be able to show that you are:

  • Organised and can open and run a busy kitchen, while working to deadlines.
  • Confident, and inspiring, able to manage a large team, and bring people together across multiple areas of the business.
  • Detail oriented, and customer focused. Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
  • Capable and independent. You will have the freedom to guide the menu and develop specials, ensuring that the kitchen is running smoothly at all times.
  • A hands on leader, confident in training new staff and leading by example.

Ideally, you will have the following:

  • Experience in running a kitchen specialising in pizza.
  • Experience in working with a wood fired pizza oven and Neapolitan pizza.
  • Experience of running a busy kitchen and working to budgets, targets and implementing and following all relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Experience of hiring and training a team
  • Experience of designing and cooking vegan and vegetarian menus
  • An interest in pizza and craft beer

What you get:

Salary £33,300 pa plus performance based bonus up £4000
