Nottingham UK, Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom Churchill Executive Full time

Company Description

Our client is a well-established legal firm specialising in business, professional, regulatory, and personal disputes. They have offices across the UK and are known for providing expert legal advice to a diverse range of clients, including professionals such as teachers and doctors.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Employment Law Solicitor to join a well-regarded legal team and work alongside the Employment Partner in our Nottingham office. The role involves primarily advising and representing employees—often professionals such as teachers and doctors—on employment disputes.

While the role includes a small amount of respondent work, the primary focus is employee representation. Candidates with the ability to manage cases independently from start to finish are highly desirable.

This position offers flexibility, with hybrid or fully remote working options available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent and advise employees on a range of employment law matters, including disputes and tribunal cases.
  • Manage a caseload independently, from initial instruction through to resolution.
  • Provide guidance on workplace policies, disciplinary issues, and contracts.
  • Conduct a small amount of respondent work as required.
  • Work collaboratively with the Employment Partner to deliver high-quality legal advice.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure successful outcomes.

Candidate Requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years PQE in employment law.
  • Experience in representing employees in tribunals and handling complex employment law cases.
  • Ability to run a case independently from start to finish.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of employment law and its application to employee disputes.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to develop effective legal strategies.

Other Attributes:

  • A genuine passion for representing employees and achieving positive client outcomes.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary (dependent on experience and PQE level).
  • Flexible working arrangements (hybrid or remote).
  • Opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals in a supportive environment.
  • Diverse and engaging caseload focused on employee representation.
