Health And Safety Coordinator

Leading rail contractor, enjoying an exciting period of expansion, has a requirement for a Health and Safety Coordinator / SHEQ Coordinator / HSQE Coordinator, on a permanent basis in Derbyshire.
Responsibilities:
- Review of existing risk assessments and maintain the risk assessment register
- Coordinate accident recordings, covering incident reports, investigations and near misses
- Action of new processes and procedures, based on findings following QHSE reviews
- Help put together health, safety, quality and environmental plans
- Offer administrative support to the SHEQ team
- Help with the creation and publication of management system documents, reports and KPIs
- Maintain the SHEQ management systems
- Document control
- Assist with internal and external SHEQ audits
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with company standards, Network Rail guidelines and the Health and Safety at Work Act
Skills and Experience:
- Computer literacy - Microsoft Office (Sharepoint beneficial)
- Appreciation of data analysis and reports
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- An organised, proactive approach to work with a can-do attitude
- Background as a Health and Safety Coordinator / Health and Safety Administrator, ideally within the rail industry, or similar sectors (construction, engineering, utilities etc)
