An exciting opportunity has come up for someone looking to be the first dedicated data specialist in a very successful business.


They have created this role to establish a data management and centralised reporting function that will allow them to make the most of their data and allow managers throughout the business to be able to make informed decisions based on data.


This is a very broad role that will grow very quickly


Some key tasks to get stuck into include:


  • Automating processes and creating dashboards / reports
  • Develop and implement an overall data strategy
  • Auditing all the internal and external data sources and create a standard format across the business
  • Transform data into actionable insights
  • Establish a data governance framework


The role answers directly into the board, so you will have a lot of influence and buy in to get the job done from day one


So who are we looking for?


Someone who likes a challenge

You will also be extremely data literate and very hands on. Whilst creating a data strategy is an integral part of this role, you will be implementing this yourself – initially at least

There will be a lot of quick wins to be had streamlining and creating dashboards, databases and reporting solutions, whilst working on longer term projects.

Excellent communication and influencing skills – you will be working across the business dealing with various heads of departments / senior managers

Strong SQL, Excel and experience with, databases / warehouses, BI and visualisation tools


The company operate on a hybrid work scheme (2 days in the office) 15% bonus, 30 days holiday, £6k car allowance, excellent pension and a host of other benefits
