About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HUD/HMD Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a British national with a strong background in optical engineering and experience in the development of head-up displays (HUD) and head/helmet-mounted displays. This role requires a candidate who can work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to the advancement of our innovative projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test HUD and HMD systems for various applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HUD/HMD systems into larger platforms.
  • Conduct research and development to improve existing technologies and create new solutions.
  • Perform optical design and analysis using advanced simulation tools.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for HUD/HMD systems.
  • Participate in project planning and management activities.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the development of HUD and HMD systems / Instrument clusters
  • Strong understanding of optical design principles and technologies.
  • Proficiency in optical simulation software (e.g., Zemax, Code V).
  • Experience with hardware and software integration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Background within laser projection
  • Must be a British national and eligible for security clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies.
  • Knowledge of display technologies and human factors engineering.
  • Familiarity with military or aerospace applications.
