Role: In-House Legal Executive
Location: Liverpool Street (4 days in office, 1 day from home)
Salary: Circa £60k, dependent on experience
Reporting to: Head of Governance
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with industry laws and regulations, identify risks, and update policies.
- Standardize contract management, assist in contract preparation, review, negotiation, and guidance.
- Manage litigation, instruct external counsel, and apply effective case management.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions, including asset integration.
- Protect intellectual property, ensuring maintenance of patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
- Provide legal assistance to various departments on operational issues, GDPR, and SARs for AML.
- Offer HR support aligned with company policies.
- Assist in investigating and responding to legal actions affecting the company’s standing.
- Review GDPR policy to ensure alignment with digital marketing strategies.
- Provide general legal support, analyze complex issues, and communicate actionable advice.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 4 years of corporate legal experience.
- In-house legal professional experience.
- CILEX Level 6 (desired).
- Organized and methodical with the ability to multitask.
- Confident working autonomously and advising across the business.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail.
