The Reporting Analyst will deliver the end-to-end process of analysing and developing requests for delivery owners; requirement gathering and documentation, development and UAT of reports and dashboards. Challenging the delivery owner to ensure that the requirements meet the true business need and the proposed reporting solution is as robust as possible. Ensuring effective and continuous communication to the delivery owner, enabling full understanding and agreement of the reporting requirements. Recommend and continually improve approach to source data construction, report development, Power BI dashboard design considerations, performance improvements and monitoring.

This role will be customer facing and sit within the delivery team, with a link to the Business Intelligence team, with clear directives and requirements on reporting methodology/frequency.

Delivery

  • To deliver PMO Reporting on the end to end Cornerstone delivery process including acquisition, design and build and decom activities to track time, cost quality measures against Cornerstone, customer and supplier targets through effective management of internal stakeholders the 3rd party Agents and Suppliers (delivery input provided by others).
  • To provide visibility of the future profile of all work streams by ensuring that forecasting is up to date & in accordance with agreed forecasting standards through the tracking of 3rd party supplier projections – for example, exception reporting and tracking/trend analysis (delivery input provided by others).
  • To support the delivery defined Capex & Opex targets & agreement terms by applying agreed standards, policies & expertise and escalating exceptions to enable the business to make informed decisions.
  • Build & maintain effective working relationships with the delivery teams, customer project & regional teams and other Cornerstone teams to ensure Cornerstone policy is understood & applied consistently and improve certainty that objectives will be achieved by setting realistic expectations, delivering on commitments & effective communication.
  • Provide data, analytics and dashboards to support management of 3rd party suppliers to deliver agreed targets on a defined group of sites by creating an environment that drives success & secures business targets through reporting and management of key deliverables.

Business Intelligence

  • Understand the importance of and ability to validate data, improve data quality and map data lineage from source to report.
  • Strong Power BI development skills to source, manage and produce dashboards and reporting in an automated environment.
  • Work closely with the BI team to develop, support and improve reports and data to give value add to internal and external consumer

Compliance & Security

  • To support and contribute actively to health and safety, environmental, business continuity and information security arrangements that meets our obligations to our customers.

Experience (technical, managerial, industry)

  • Experienced user and detailed knowledge of PowerBI and associated functions to create dashboards to specification, with excellent proficiency in using DAX and Power Query.
  • Experience of being within a large scale infrastructure build or network deployment project within telecoms

Skills / Knowledge

  • Interpersonal skills & ability to manage stakeholders of varying levels and across matrix organisations.
  • Able to understand data relationships to build tables, analytics and summaries according to requestor specifications
  • Strong planning & organizational ability in delivering business results
