Litigation Solicitor | 4-6 PQE | London


Our client, a highly reputable law firm with a leading Commercial Litigation Group, is looking for a solicitor with 4-6 years PQE to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a prime opportunity for someone with strong drafting, negotiation, and contentious experience to contribute to a highly regarded practice working with high-profile clients across diverse industries.

The team:


The Commercial Litigation team is known for its comprehensive range of expertise, advising clients on:

  • Pre-dispute, strategic ‘litigation avoidance’ advice
  • Pre-action advice and dispute resolution strategies
  • Interim injunctions
  • Trial litigation and all aspects of appeals
  • Regulatory work, including industry-specific tribunals and appeals
  • Mediation, arbitration, and other forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)


Their clients range from multinational corporations and public companies to entrepreneurial private businesses, and individuals with significant private wealth or media profiles. Industries served include advertising, aviation, film & TV, financial investment, beauty, property, publishing, technology, telecommunications, sport, and video games, among others.


The Role:


As part of the Commercial Litigation Group, you will engage in a wide variety of contentious matters, handling complex cases from pre-action stages right through to trial and appeal. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Work independently on smaller cases and support larger, more complex litigation matters in collaboration with senior lawyers.
  • Take responsibility for drafting, negotiating, and providing strategic advice on a wide range of contentious issues.
  • Be involved in regulatory work, interim injunctions, and arbitration, providing clients with pragmatic, commercially driven solutions.
  • Manage and mentor junior lawyers, trainees, and support staff while playing a key role in progressing high-value disputes.


Candidates with strong court, arbitration, or trial experience will have an advantage, but all applicants should demonstrate a robust ability to provide sound advice to a varied client base, particularly those in high-profile or heavily regulated industries.


Key Skills and Experience:


The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4-6 years PQE with strong academic credentials and high-quality training.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiating skills.
  • Court, arbitration, and trial experience (desirable but not essential).
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, handling smaller matters alone and collaborating on larger cases.
