Rail Safety Assurance Consultant

£65k-£75k + Bonus + Benefits Manchester, Midlands, Bristol or WFH

Are you a seasoned Rail Systems Assurance Consultant looking to join a dynamic and growing company?

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong foundation in railway safety to join our expanding team. In this exciting role, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional Rail Systems Assurance and Independent Safety Audit/Advice services to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your engineering expertise to influence the design, operation, and maintenance of complex rail systems, ensuring technical risk identification, communication, and management.
  • Uphold the highest safety standards by providing proportionate and effective safety advice tailored to project complexity.
  • Lead and coach junior team members, fostering their professional development.
  • Contribute to business development activities, exploring new opportunities and building strong client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Safety or Science.
  • Proven experience in systems assurance delivery.
  • Proven knowledge of Rail and International System Safety standards (EN50126, EN50128, EN50129).
  • Expertise in Functional Safety (SIL) and Systems Safety methodologies (GSN, hazard logs, HAZOP, FMECA, Bow Tie).
  • Demonstrated experience in the railway industry is a plus.
