Your Role:

Reporting to the Head of Technology, you will play a key role delivering strategic projects to enhance the firms trading capabilities, automate internal workflows and streamline client services. Working closely with various business and functional departments and Technology, you will facilitate the build, test and handover of solutions back to the business. You will also be responsible for:

  • Analysing complex business problems and assessing how automated systems or solutions can be implemented to solve them.
  • Translating business needs into detailed requirements and functional specifications for IT development.
  • Leading the design and review sessions with technical and business staff
  • Performing data analysis to support business decisions and validate data quality.
  • Managing user acceptance testing and ensure that the deliverables meet the business requirements as required.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date library of Business Analysis processes for use around the firm.
  • Organising conformance testing and defect tracking for delivered requirements.

Your Profile:

To be successful in this role you will have proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within investment banking IT. You will be familiar with industry standard tools and techniques to elicit requirements from business teams (both internal and external) in a way that business teams can understand and validate is correct. You will also have:

  • A strong understanding of the equities business, including front-to-back office operations and trading lifecycle and electronic trading.
  • A demonstrable track record as a Technical Business Analyst and competent in business analysis methodologies and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and strong SQL and Relational Database Management Systems experience in Oracle or SQL Server
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#
  • Strong acceptance/conformance testing and defect tracking experience.
  • Data/object modelling expertise and experience in Business Activity Mapping and process engineering and design.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, or similar software to interpret data trends and design and generate reports.
