Role Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted adviser to the business, focusing primarily on transactions including projects work (business development, decarbonisation, corporate M&A, corporate finance)
  • Support the General Counsel in managing governance and risk management across the organization
  • Oversee and manage a dynamic legal team
  • Liaise with and manage external advisers on various transactions
  • Provide legal advice on day-to-day matters across the business
  • Support the Executive Leadership Team on strategic matters


Candidate Profile:


Experience Required:

  • UK qualified lawyer with approximately 8-10 years PQE
  • Significant projects and/or M&A experience pertaining to the energy sector
  • Background in a leading London or international law firm


Personal Qualities:

  • Collaborative approach to delivering solutions
  • Driven and ownership-oriented with strategic thinking abilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of leading, motivating, and influencing teams
  • Confident in working within project teams, both as a leader and as a supportive member
  • Proficient in relationship building both within the organization and externally
