Due to rapid growth, we’re on the lookout for new Business Development Manager to join our Sales and Marketing team. This is a vital role that can help our company grow and in return you’ll be well supported and rewarded.


What’s it all about?

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll strive to hit an achievable monthly target which will be supported by our great marketing team. You’ll have qualified the needs and requirements through rapport building and effective questioning. Having great interpersonal skills are crucial in this role as are resilience and having a positive attitude.


You’ll also need to be able use effective questioning to open up discussions with clients in a consultative way. To be effective you’ll need to quickly understand business challenges and identify where Nutshell can add value. This is a wonderful opportunity for a person new to consultative selling as our product is so versatile. You’ll be selling into many industries with many different solutions thereby giving you a rounded learning experience. Experience selling into the rail/construction sector would be favourable, however, not essential.


Key Responsibilities:


· Generating new business leads using a variety of platforms, working closely with our marketing team


· Pipeline building and pipeline management


· Keeping CRM fully updated with notes to show sales progress


· Demonstrating our suite of applications to prospective clients


· Selling a solution, rather than an off the shelf product (consultative selling)


· Reporting sales information for commercial analysis


· Liaise with Technology and Operations teams when necessary


· Keep updated with product development and competitor solutions


Essential Skills and Experience:


· Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage with a variety of people, at all levels of seniority


· Experience selling SaaS


· Objection Handling Skills


· Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills


· Ability to act on own initiative, whilst maintaining a strong teamwork ethic, and a collaborative and adaptive working style


· Strong IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office


· An understanding and passion of the software/tech industries


· Able to work under pressure and have resilience


· A well developed sense of humour would be most welcome


This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days of working from our Gateshead office per week.


Salary – OTE 60K+
