Slough UK, Berkshire, United Kingdom Cognita Schools Part time

About the School – Long Close School

We are delighted to welcome you to Long Close School, where we welcome children from 2 – 16 years. With over 80 years of teaching heritage, our school is firmly established as the first choice amongst parents looking to give their child the best possible start to their education. Proud of our reputation for delivering academic excellence, both at 11+ and GCSE stages, our children thrive with small class sizes and experienced teachers delivering an outstanding education.

The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business & History Teacher to join our fantastic team on a Part-Time (0.4 FTE) basis.

About Cognita

Launched in 2004, Cognita is an extraordinary community of diverse yet connected schools, spanning sixteen different countries.

At Cognita, we know every student is unique. We nurture their distinct personalities and strengths. We support them academically, socially, and emotionally, wherever they are in the world, wherever they’re starting from.

And each and every one of our schools is unique too. We protect what’s special about them, while offering them rich knowledge, opportunities, and best practices. And they get to be part of something bigger. We open their classrooms to the collective wisdom of over 100 schools in 16 countries, ensuring every child gets an education that’s, quite literally, world class.

It’s an individual approach that empowers every school, teacher and student to focus on what they do best. And thrive.

We want to help you go further. If you work with us, you’ll be joining a community of 18,000 teachers and staff in over 100 schools worldwide. And we have offices in the UK, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia.

Our exchange programmes give you the chance to see other parts of the world. And learn to be strong leaders with regional leadership events and bespoke UCL leadership programmes. There’s something for everyone.

We want teachers who love what they do and bring that passion into the classroom. And we want leaders who can take us forward. That’s why we invest in our people with benefits and opportunities for professional development. We get passionate people and you get vibrant and rewarding careers.

About the role

We wish to appoint an inspirational Teacher of Business and History on a Part Time basis. The successful candidate will be expected to teach GCSE Business Studies which is an optional subject at Long Close School. There may also be some History lessons on the post holder’s timetable.
