The Cost Controller will work with the project leadership and act as key liaison with internal and external accounting departments and service providers. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop report tracking tools and generate cost reports on regular basis including evaluation of earned value.
  • Provide forecasts and cash flow analysis.
  • Preparation and review of cost estimates.
  • Provide cost information to support decision and alternative selection.
  • Evaluate and analyse fee proposals / bids and provide recommendation for decision making.
  • Manage the cost report and provide regular updates on financial position.
  • Manage the development, validation, and maintenance of the project schedule.
  • Extract data from several sources, transforming it to fit operational needs.
  • Implement, administer, and maintain cost control systems and procedures to track project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts for projects of medium complexity and value.
  • Managing delegated resources (e.g., budgets, equipment, and contracts) as appropriate, to ensure value for money.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or another relevant business discipline.
  • Minimum of 1 years of Cost Control experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management
  • Good cost accounting and financial principles related to project accounting backed by formal business training and an accounting designation.
  • Proven subject matter expert in project planning and scheduling abilities.
  • Experience with the front of the business and developing proposals.
  • General knowledge of contract terms & conditions and their relation to project accounting and planning.
  • Proficient with MS Office, MS Project.
  • Excellent verbal & written communications.
  • Capable of working independently and prioritizing efforts.
