Harnham are partnering with a media agency that supports clients with their advertising campaigns. They are looking for a data engineer to join their team and improve how quick they can access and report the data.

THE COMPANY

This company operates in the media space, helping their clients with their advertising campaigns. They recently brought in a new Head of Data who has selected to build out their GCP capability to modernise their tech stack. This means they are looking to build out their Data Engineering team to help with the greenfield implementation.

THIS ROLE

As a Data Engineer, you will be:

  • Implementing software best practices
  • Hands-on, you will be building pipelines
  • Move them from on-prem to GCP and into real time streaming
  • Doing query optimisation, understanding the metrics and performance of the pipelines
  • Helping to improve how quick they can access and report on the data

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Data Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

Desirably have experience with:

  • Utilising cloud platforms specifically GCP
  • Utilising best practices - CI/CD
  • Will still be relatively close to code and therefore have good Python and SQL skills
  • Experience with utilising Kubernetes, Terraform and Big query
