FREELANCE VIDEO EDITOR OVERVIEW:


We are looking for a proven experienced Video Editor.


We recently acquired production house Split Image to add to our re:act offering and require more reliable freelance Video Editors.


We are looking for someone who has a creative flair and an eye detail, with experience in animations, transitions and working with rushes.

A background in working with large FMCG brands (ideally beauty) along with experience working on social content is going to be key.


Looking for immediate start.

Some of your key responsibilities:

  1. Video Editing: Edit and assemble video footage, ensuring a seamless and engaging final product, with a specific focus on creating engaging and hook-guided short form content for social media and ad campaigns. Enhance video content with music, sound effects, and voiceovers. Employ colour correction tools to achieve consistent appealing aesthetics.
  2. Software Proficiency: Proficient in DaVinci Resolve Studio for colour grading, Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects) for video editing, and motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
  3. Creative Eye: A keen sense of visual storytelling and the ability to bring a unique creative perspective to each project. Transform raw footage into captivating edits. Edit diverse all types of video content.
  4. Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to actively participate in group ideation sessions, working collaboratively within a creative team.
  5. Detail-Oriented: A meticulous approach to video editing, motion graphics and ideation, ensuring precision in every aspect of the final product.
  6. Flexibility: Adaptable to changing project requirements and open to feedback for continuous improvement. Flexibility and willingness to come into either the production studio in Gatwick or the main office in High Street Ken.
  7. Passion: A genuine passion for video editing and creative ideation, along with a desire to stay current with industry trends and advancements


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A degree in Film, Video, Animation and/or Digital Design
  • Essential previous commercial/corporate editing experience, with a portfolio or showreel showcasing relevant work.
  • Proven track record of editing various video content types,
  • Strong familiarity with the wider Adobe Creative Cloud suite
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed client expectations
  • Proficient visual storytelling skills, effectively conveying messages through compelling edits.
  • Passion for film and video, coupled with a discerning eye for detail
  • Comprehensive understanding of video codecs and colour spaces
  • Experience working with proprietary video file formats from Sony, Cannon, and Red cameras.
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, and Audition, with knowledge of After Effects and illustrator being desirable.
  • A broad knowledge in After Effects & Illustrator is desirable.
  • Strong grasp of sound design, colour correction, and grading techniques.
  • Strong understanding of colour correction and colour grading.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
