The Senior Credit Underwriter will join an existing team of 12 and report directly to the head of credit. They will be responsible for underwriting large and complex cases and will hold a authorised mandate. There is room for progression as this person will take on some team management responsibilities.


Responsibilities

  • Implement credit strategy according to risk appetite and policy
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Maintain robust lending standards
  • Uphold personal lending mandate
  • Ensure all transactions meet internal standards and all documentation is correct and complete
  • Involvement in management of distressed debt
  • Monitoring default and working with collections and recoveries
  • Liaison with all internal teams in particular sales, sales support and finance


Essential experience

  • Relevant academic background
  • Corporate lending experience - £1m to 20m
  • 5 years+ credit experience
  • Mandated
  • Regulatory knowledge of the UK market
  • Self starter
  • Organised and detailed
  • MS office


Hybrid working 50/50 site/remote after initial 3 months

Must have full right to work in the UK
