TXM are working with a transportation business to recruit a Rail Services Compliance & Risk Specialist who will lead the reporting, standardisation and coordination of compliance processes and risk controls to ensure that the rail service businesses manage risk and compliance consistently, effectively, and efficiently.


Can be based in York or Crewe

Salary £42,000


Tasks

  • Undertake a comprehensive review of the existing compliance framework, controls, and processes with a view to standardising and streamlining wherever possible so that Rail Services have a single approach to corporate confidence, risk management, Bilmog, CMS, and other compliance matters.
  • Ensure the implementation of, and adherence to, such standardised controls and standards, escalating any non-compliance in a timely fashion.
  • Act as the key conduit between Group Compliance & Assurance and the Rail Services Businesses. Providing feedback and sharing best practices regarding policies, standards, guidance, and their implementation.
  • Undertake regular assurance exercises across all Rail Services businesses and provide SME to Rail Services colleagues.
  • Lead on risk register update sessions and support with risk id and management upskilling across Rail Services.
  • Data Protection and Retention lead for all Rail Services businesses.
  • Provision of support across Rail Services governance activities as required.


Knowledge & Experience

  • Relevant qualification and minimum of 2 years relevant experience
  • Broad understanding and experience of in-house legal and compliance
  • Exceptional communication skills – ability to cut through complexity, share information in a timely, clear and focused way
  • Provide a service that is high quality, commercially attuned and responsive to the needs of the business
