Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Data Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our data architecture on the AWS platform. You will work closely with various teams to ensure data integrity, security, and availability, driving our data strategy forward


Key Responsibilities


Design and Implement Data Solutions:

  • Develop scalable and efficient data architecture solutions on AWS.
  • Create and maintain data pipelines using AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, and Data Pipeline.
  • Design data models and databases using AWS RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB, and other relevant technologies.


Data Integration and Management:

  • Integrate various data sources and ensure smooth data flow across systems.
  • Implement ETL processes to transform and load data into data warehouses or data lakes.
  • Manage and maintain data storage solutions, ensuring high availability and performance.


Security and Compliance:

  • Ensure data solutions comply with security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement data encryption, IAM roles, and other security measures to protect sensitive data.


Performance Optimization:

  • Monitor and optimize the performance of data solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.


Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.


Required Skills and Qualifications


Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.


Technical Expertise:

  • Proven experience with AWS data services including S3, Redshift, RDS, Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, and Athena.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems.
  • Familiarity with data integration tools and techniques.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with designing and implementing large-scale data solutions on AWS.


Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.


Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or other relevant AWS certifications.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts and tools.
