The Academic Director is a brand new and exciting opportunity that we are introducing to every campus here at Arden University. We are transforming to enhance our student experience and success. You will create and support an engaged faculty culture and enhance the overall student learning experience through creating a positive and inclusive environment that emphasises student success.
The Academic Director plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing various aspects of academic operations on the campus. This includes academic staff management, student engagement, quality assurance, community engagement, technology integration, policy implementation, and effective communication.
You will also foster local and regional contacts with business groups, employers, and other agencies to enhance the profile of the university as a leading employer-first university.
About you:
You will bring strong leadership skills with proven ability to effectively manage academic staff and programmes, including recruitment and mentoring. You will demonstrate the ability to articulate a vision, communicate expectations and foster a positive academic culture. A focus on student success and a commitment to enhancing the overall student learning experience is essential as well as the ability to inspire and motivate academic staff to excel in their roles.
You will have a significant amount of experience in implementing strategies to support student engagement, persistence and satisfaction. Planning, organisational development and implementation of educational initiatives are also a requirement of the role.
