Senior .Net Software Engineer

£55,000pa + Benefits

Yorkshire HQ 2 Days a month / Homeworking (Must be UK based)

Our client is one of the UK's largest Building Society’s, who set out to help people create a better future by providing a good place for people’s savings and helping people own their own home. Its a very exciting time to join the team as they invest in their digital transformation journey as well exciting greenfield projects.


Their core Mortgage and Savings platform is developed internally and is supported in house alongside other applications.


As a senior .Net Software Engineer you will have a passion for engineering seamless API Integrations and leveraging Azure platforms to build robust and scalable solutions with C# to support the core platforms.


You will work as part of a talented team, where you will receive hands-on guidance and mentorship from experienced software developers, software architects and tech leaders to help accelerate your growth and development.


This is a remote first opportunity, requiring 2 days a month on site at our clients HQ in Yorkshire. When onsite, the office has a Tech Hub, and is a real community where lots of people share their passion for the society's members. All applicants must be based in the UK.


You will be able to demonstrate:

- Strong proficiency in C# programming language.

- Experience with version control systems such as Git.

- Hands-on experience with developing solution for Azure services, particularly APIM Management, App Services, ESB, EventHub

- Familiarity with RESTful, SOAP, messaging design principles and standards.

- Proven experience developing APIs and integrating systems in a professional environment.

- Previous experience in integrating with third-party APIs, back-office systems, and databases.

- Good documentation Skills, and a capability to write clear and comprehensive API documentation to facilitate integration for other developers.

- Experience in CI/CD and building deployment pipelines.


Soft Skills:

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Experience in design of requirements and facilitation of discussions.


Salary & Benefits

There is a very competitive package with a starting salary of c£55,000, alongside 25 days holiday as well as the option to buy up to a further 5 days. There's an 8% Pension contribution and an 8% Bonus.
