A growing company is seeking a DataOps Engineer to join their innovative team. Reporting to the Backend Engineering Lead, you'll play a hands-on coding role throughout the software development life cycle, focusing on seamless integrations with core platform services. You'll help develop, deploy, and maintain a cloud-based platform, while supporting the business with client performance reports, recommendation models, and analytics.
Salary: £65,000
Location: Bath - Hybrid
Responsibilities:
- Design: Develop code to meet user story requirements and communicate designs, estimates, and risk assessments to the team.
- Read, Write, Refactor: Analyze, enhance, and write high-quality code that is future-proof while maintaining functionality.
- Review, Test, Debug: Participate in code reviews, write tests to ensure quality, and resolve technical issues.
- Deploy: Assist in the design of deployment processes, ensuring reliable movement of work to production.
- Improve: Identify and communicate areas for improvement in development and technology practices.
- Collaborate: Work with clients to onboard data and provide ongoing support for new features and issues.
Requirements:
- Must-have Skills:
- Proficiency in Python (OOP and scripting).
- Cloud Hosting experience (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Version Control (Git) and CI/CD services (GitHub Actions, CircleCI).
- Expertise in ElasticSearch, SQL, React/TypeScript, data science, and analytics tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
- Desirable:
- Agile development experience (Scrum, SAFE).
- AWS Certification (SysOps, Developer, Solutions Architect).
- Knowledge of TV and VOD services.
