This role involves managing financial transactions, reporting, and ensuring the financial health of the business, contributing directly to strategic growth and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Transactions and Operations:

  • Process, verify, and approve invoices, matching them with delivered services/products.
  • Manage payroll and timesheet operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
  • Oversee expense management, adhering to company guidelines and ensuring proper categorisation for reporting and budgeting.
  • Oversee payment processing for transactions, including refunds and client or supplier payments, with an emphasis on compliance and clear audit trails.
  • Monitor payment flows through MangoPay, our payment processing partner, addressing issues where necessary.


Financial Management and Reporting:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of budgets, closely monitoring and reporting on variances.
  • Support cash flow monitoring and forecasting, identifying financial challenges and opportunities.
  • Contribute to the creation of financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually), ensuring they meet accounting standards and provide valuable insights into financial health.


Financial Strategy and Systems:

  • Collaborate with the COO and other senior leaders to align financial strategies with overarching business goals.
  • Efficiently utilise financial software and platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, PennyLane), optimising their use for financial operations and reporting.
  • Propose and implement improvements to financial processes and systems, aiming for greater efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial management, particularly with responsibilities similar to those outlined.
  • Proficiency in financial software.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Some spoken and written French and knowledge of French accounting practices are beneficial, though not essential.
