What you''ll do

As a Product Owner, you’ll be creating a strategy for your assigned product areas, and acting as the go-to person for information and updates on your product area. You’ll take ownership of the digital roadmap and the definition, management and prioritisation of the digital backlog.

You’ll also be:

  • Analysing research and data, talking to customers and reviewing feature requests
  • Prioritising the squad backlog, deciding what gets worked on and consulting with the cross-functional team and stakeholders
  • Splitting epics into detailed user stories and feature specifications in Jira for the team to pick up and build
  • Working with your Engineering Manager and technology leads to set objectives for sprints and ensure the quality of output, making sure that product governance processes are adhered to, with a focus on risk and regulatory compliance

The skills you''ll need

To join us in this role, you’ll need to have previous experience of working in a Scrum or Agile team. You’ll need a passion for understanding customer needs and a problem solving mentality. In addition, you’ll be able to conduct customer research, map out customer journeys and identify opportunities.

You’ll also be expected to have:

  • A successful track record of digital design, delivery and operations
  • An understanding of small business customers needs and how we can serve them digitally
  • A technical background with a fundamental understanding of product, software development and UX
  • An understanding of technologies across mobile, web and APIs
