Responsibilities

  • Prepare and gather necessary documents, such as blueprints, specifications, and contracts, to accurately estimate project costs
  • Analyse and evaluate project requirements, including labour, materials, and equipment, to determine cost estimates
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to clarify project details and ensure accurate estimates
  • Research and evaluate vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and quality materials
  • Utilize cost estimation software and tools to generate accurate and detailed estimates
  • Review and analyse historical project data and cost reports to improve estimating accuracy
  • Prepare and present cost estimates to management and clients, while ensuring adherence to project timelines


Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation techniques
  • Proficient in using cost estimation software and tools
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
