The Role:
As a Data Scientist, you’ll be an essential member of their expert data science team, collaborating closely with their Head of Product and Data Science. Your insights will directly influence the performance and player experience of their games.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Data Analysis & Visualisation: Develop and maintain queries and visualisations to monitor and track vital game metrics.
- Performance Insights: Analyze game performance variability to uncover actionable insights.
- Player Behaviour Analysis: Perform detailed analyses to understand and enhance player behavior and the overall game experience.
- Experiment Design: Create and assess split testing experiments to optimize game features.
- Data Governance: Contribute to the enhancement of their data governance and business intelligence tools.
Who You Are:
You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in free-to-play mobile gaming or a related field. You thrive in small, high-performing teams and are ready to make a significant impact.
Here’s what you bring to the role:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in SQL, Python, or similar languages for data querying and extraction.
- Analytical Skills: Strong abilities in data modelling, along with a deep understanding of statistical and visualisation techniques.
- Problem-Solving: Outstanding critical and creative thinking skills.
- Gaming Enthusiast: A passion for free-to-play mobile games and a deep interest in football.
- Effective Communicator: Ability to clearly convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Football Lover: Engaged with football, whether through playing, watching, or participating in fantasy leagues.
This full-time, permanent position is based at their Oxford studio. Applicants must have the right to live and work permanently in the UK.
