What you'll be doing:
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Propose optimal solutions and lead the design and delivery across pre-sales, projects and as repeatable blueprints.
  • Make day to day decisions about the setup and priorities for the engineering community and make sure the right skills are maintained within the engineering function.
  • Lead teams, and support team members and junior colleagues in the performance of their respective roles.
  • Build and the support the development of compelling propositions to take to market in the AI & Data field.
  • Focused on delivery excellence to ensure projects succeed against time, budget and quality, with a focus on reducing risk and technical debt.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven leadership and team development skills.
  • Expertise in AI tools and techniques, including GenAI, LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, Llama), and advanced features (prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG).
  • Knowledge of data and AI standards (GDPR, Information Security, ethical AI).
  • Experience with leading tools i.e. AWS Sagemaker, AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Platform / Machine Learning and Jupyter.
  • Skills in AI document processing (OCR, handwriting recognition, computer vision).
  • Development of AI-enhanced digital assistants (Microsoft Copilot).
  • Data architectures including data integration, management, reporting and analytics, simulation and digital twins.
  • AI assisted software development and testing using tools such as GitHub Copilot or AWS CodeWhisperer.
  • Cloud native delivery engineering such as Containers / Kubernetes, event driven architecture and microservices.
