In this role, you will carry out dimensional and visual inspection of external and internally manufactured engine components, ensuring parts conform to the final issue definition.

What you will be doing:

You will inspect engine part and will be checking the documentation, including drawings, risk release, concessions and deviation permits in accordance with the Rolls Royce Management System. You wil:

  • Perform inspection on incoming and outgoing material using calibrated tooling provided & verifying appropriate documentation.
  • Highlight any non-conformance found and escalate through the appropriate channels.
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with the Rolls Royce Management System (RRMS)
  • Ensure your training requirements are current and in date according to the requirements.
  • Support and adhere to all safety, environmental, and general housekeeping policies.
  • Ensure that work performed is accurately completed to the RRMS standards.
  • Maintain, monitor and control departmental calibration lists and tooling.
  • Work with outside agencies on checking stocks as required.

  • Completed advanced level apprenticeship (essential for this role) in an engineering discipline to minimum City & Guilds level 3/NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or previous equivalent of these qualifications. Please attach a copy of your apprenticeship certificate together with your application.
  • Ability to think clearly and make appropriate decisions to ensure product integrity and quality.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manuals accurately, and to use measurement tooling.
  • Ideally, have a quality and continuous improvement focus.
  • Must be numerate, with good PC literacy. Knowledge of SAP & Teamcenter is preferred.
  • Good team working and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable interfacing with internal colleagues and external visitors.
