We are recruiting for a Chef de Partie for a Private Jewish Care Home in North London.

40 hours a week, 5 days out of 7.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure that all meals are prepared to a high standard, meeting both kosher dietary requirements and the individual needs of our residents. You will have a strong understanding of kosher cooking or a willingness to learn and an appreciation for working in a person-centered, care-focused setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals according to kosher dietary laws and residents' dietary needs.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety in the kitchen and all food preparation areas.
  • Support with stock control, portioning, and waste reduction.
  • Maintain excellent communication with kitchen and care home staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely meal service.
  • Participate in training on kosher cooking, nutrition, and food safety as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role, ideally in a care home or setting with specific dietary needs.
  • Knowledge of kosher cooking or a willingness to learn; familiarity with Jewish traditions is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to upholding food hygiene and health & safety standards.
