London, UK, United Kingdom MIISTA Full time

Job description

We are looking for a "PR and Brand Partnerships Manager” with experience in relationship building and events production to join our New York Office team. While the role will have a predominant NYC focus, the scope can cover the US domestic market.

The role is offered on a local full-time, one-year base contract.

This is a unique dual role of PR and brand partnerships with a personal approach to relationship building. The role reports to the Marketing Manager.

The role is part of Miista’s dedication to explore and explain The Opposite Thing through an informed dialogue in collaboration with our community and towards the expansion of our vision of creating a product that has personality in addition to aesthetic value, while preserving an ethical European manufacturing practice.

About the Role

As our PR and Brand Partnerships Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping Miista's visual identity and expanding our brand's reach through strategic partnerships. You'll be responsible for styling coordination, nurturing relationships with creative talent, and fostering collaborations with like-minded talent and partners to enhance our brand's visibility and desirability.

Main Responsibilities

  • Styling partnerships and coordinating efforts to ensure our brand's visual identity is consistent and impactful across all channels.
  • Relationships with creative talent and influencers to collaborate on styling projects and promotional campaigns.
  • Negotiate brand partnership opportunities to expand our brand's presence and reach new audiences.
  • Execution of brand partnership initiatives, ensuring alignment with our brand values and aesthetics.
  • Influencer selection for specific campaigns and events.
  • Develop key creative partnerships with influencers and VIPs in the market to build brand awareness and desirability, drive traffic, and grow business.
  • Create bespoke proposals and closely manage all partnerships and influencer marketing gifting budgets for the season according to key event dates on the marketing calendar.
  • Contract execution with key influencers / liaise with agents and influencers to agree on terms, ensuring those terms are included in the final contract and contracts are signed and filed within deadlines.
  • Ensure influencer content is within the brand and contractual agreements and is delivered within the agreed timelines.
  • Influencer's fees or gifting and deliverables based on the agreed company’s guidelines.
  • Liaise with the distribution of the brand's storytelling through key editors in the fashion and cultural landscape when an activation event is planned.
  • Help create releases and invitations for new products and launches; provide credentials.

Ideal Candidate Requirements

  • Experience in styling coordination and brand partnerships within the fashion industry.
  • Network within the creative community, with established relationships with stylists, influencers, and brands.
  • Communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships.
  • Creative flair and a keen eye for visual aesthetics, with a deep understanding of current fashion trends and styling techniques.
  • Passion for storytelling and brand development, with a passion and focus on slow fashion and short supply chain.
  • Knowledge of community development strategies and customer acquisition models.
  • Knowledge of media, the cultural landscape and societal dynamics, with a strong interest in the arts and creative community.

Our Position: The Opposite Thing

Designed in London — Made in Spain — EU Sourced and Produced

Miista upends the exclusionary practices of the fashion industry to show how we’re actually living now. Over the last ten years we are proud to have built a brand that through craft, our community, the risks we’ve taken and a sometimesbizarre willingness to laugh at ourselves, has made an elegant commitment to the alternative. A dedication to the opposite thing.

What does that mean? That we’re happy to sacrifice profit and to subvert problematic fashion trends for women to create a product that has personality in addition to aesthetic value. A product that knows women don’t really shop using the search words ‘pretty’ now. If we were your friend, Miista would be the odd one at school who grew up and got an attitude and a sense of confidence. You know when it’s a Miista.
